Sadie Quinn is a painter and researcher based in Montreal and Ottawa. In 2024, she participated in the Romany Eveleigh Residency at Baie-Saint-Paul, with a selection of paintings exhibited in La Foudre at Westlab+ Gallery in Bushwick, New York. A founding member of the Montreal-based artist and writer collective Swan Kiss, Sadie’s practice and exhibition history is inherently tied to her community of emerging artists. Most recently, Sadie has been invited to include work in the upcoming group show Dreamscapes at Gallerie ERGA in July 2025. Alongside her painting practice, Sadie is pursuing a Master’s degree as a media scholar and curator at Carleton University.  Her thesis adopts a practice-led methodology to explore visual culture of wildfires and imperialism in so-called Quebec. Beyond her research, Sadie is an active member of her union and organizes around social justice and labour issues both locally and through international solidarity.
